Fall’s runways delivered more than fashion—they gave us a masterclass in beauty maximalism. From Paris to New York and beyond, designers and their lead makeup and hair artists pushed boundaries with lashes that defy gravity, metallic lips that demand attention, and glowy washes of color that feel equal parts wearable and artful. We distilled it down to six trends you’ll be seeing everywhere this season—and (most importantly) how you can make them your own.
It's about glam time you treated yourself.
News flash! Peach isn’t just for spring anymore. At J. Salinas FW25, models floated down the runway in soft washes of peachy sheen across lids and cheeks, creating that “just caught golden hour” glow. The effect was fresh, light-catching, and a reminder that warmth can still feel cozy when the temps drop.
Try it at home: Sweep a peach-toned shadow across your lids and blend into your crease (we love all the peach options in TARTE Maneater Nightfall Eyeshadow Palette!), then tap a matching cream blush high on your cheekbones. Finish with a glossy balm so skin catches the light like the desert sun.
This season’s runways declared: more is definitely more when it comes to lashes. From Thom Browne’s sculptural feathers to Miu Miu’s painted-on flicks to Chanel’s graphic fringes, lashes were pushed to surreal extremes. Whether feathered, 3D, or hand-drawn, it was the ultimate runway flex.
Try it at home: Curl your lashes, then load up on mascara—focus extra on the outer corners for a fluttery lift. To push your look to runway-levels, pack on the lower-lash mascara for a graphic, doll-like effect.
Think sun-drenched desert tones with molten gold accents. This trend echoes the Western-inspired shimmer seen across Chloé FW25 and Etro FW25. A gilded streak above the top lip or brushed across lids gave models a modern cowgirl-meets-goddess vibe.
Try it at home: Start with warm terracotta eyeshadow swept across the lids, then layer gold shimmer on top for that desert-dusk effect. Tap a bit of the same gold highlighter above your Cupid’s bow for a subtle, gilded twist that feels straight off the runway.
At Christopher John Rogers’ and Mame Kurogouchi’s fall/winter shows, models’ lips gleamed like liquid metal. Whether polished silver, reflective bronze, or holographic lavender, chrome lips stole the spotlight and transformed models into living art pieces.
Try it at home: If you’ve got one in your stash, swipe a metallic-finish lipstick or chrome gloss directly to your lips. For extra dimension, look no further than your favorite metallic eyeshadow palette (NATASHA DENONA eyeshadows never miss!). Line your lips, then use your finger to press a shimmering powder pigment in the center of your lips. Pair with softly defined eyes so the lip takes center stage.
Minimalist, moody, and a little bit rebellious. Kim Shui’s fall show revived the ’90s with brown lips, pared-back matte skin, and liner-heavy eyes. The vibe: part supermodel off-duty, part MTV nostalgia.
Try it at home: Keep skin softly matte with a natural base, then layer on a taupe-brown shadow and smudge it along your lash line and crease. Define your lips with a brown liner, topping with a beige-nude lipstick for that unmistakable ’90s pout.
Dark glamour reigned at Aniye Records FW25, where models were adorned with inky embellishments, smoky eyes, and gothic lip stains. Think vampiric romance meets subculture chic—moody but elevated.
Try it at home: Pack on a black glitter shadow across your lids, winging it out at the edges, and use liquid liner to define the edges. Level it up with an optional black rhinestone just below your lower lash line). A deep berry lipstick anchors the whole look in goth-glam territory.
Runways may be high drama, but each of these trends is meant to be played with—not perfected. Whether you’re ready to glue on feather lashes or just dip a toe into metallic lips, fall’s hottest makeup trends are all about transformation. And with IPSY, your next bag makes experimenting that much easier.
