Pride is more than a parade, a playlist, or a month-long excuse to wear glitter every day (though we’re very pro-glitter, TBH). It’s a journey. A celebration of becoming—and being—your truest self. That’s why this June, we’re inviting everyone to come along for the Pride as we honor the stories, identities, and everyday moments that shape who you are.

This year’s Pride month Glam Bag (seen above) and two exclusive Limited Edition Mystery Bags (shown below) were designed in collaboration with LGBTQ+ artist Tim Singleton, whose work practically radiates self-expression and joy. “This year’s collection was inspired by glamour, by queer joy, and by the absolute magic that happens when you allow yourself to let loose and revel in the beauty around us,” Singleton tells us. And trust us, that vibe shows up in every detail—from the bold color palettes to the unapologetically playful illustrations.

Meet the Expert

Tim Singleton is a Toronto-based illustrator, designer, and self-proclaimed maximalist whose bold, joy-filled work is rooted in queer identity and radical self-expression.

Meet the Artist Behind the Magic

For Singleton, the creative process started with a creative brain-dump. “I always like to throw a lot of ideas out on the page before moving into more solidified concepts. This includes lots of doodling, making notes, researching inspiration points, and just getting whatever is in my brain out of it,” he says. After workshopping multiple layouts with IPSY’s creative team, three standout designs emerged—each one unique, yet deeply connected. “Even though these final designs all came from separate concepts, I think they sing together beautifully as a collection because of the color palette and illustration style I used across the pieces.”

Color, in particular, plays a major role in Singleton’s work. (Spoiler alert: his favorite shade is all of them!) “Color carries so much meaning, history, and symbolism, while also being intensely personal. I love playing with preconceptions of color, throwing colors together that you wouldn’t expect to work together and seeing what happens.” The result? Three joy-packed, IPSY-exclusive bags that feel like visual confetti.

Bags With a Bigger Message

The bags don’t just look good—they’re loaded with intention. “I think these bags carry a real sense of self-expression and radical optimism,” says Singleton. “Queerness doesn’t conform, and I think these designs speak to that. Each piece represents coming together, regardless of who you are, what makes you different, or how you choose to express yourself. To me, that’s a beautiful metaphor for the queer community.”

Designing for IPSY was also a natural fit for Singleton, whose work is heavily influenced by beauty, glamour, and drag culture. “This honestly felt like a natural extension of work I love exploring and playing with.” In other words, makeup lovers, maximalists, and color enthusiasts: this one’s for you.

Of course, Pride Month is about more than aesthetics—it’s a celebration of progress, a moment for reflection, and a platform for queer voices. “As an artist, Pride Month is a time and space where the contributions queer people have made to the world (the list is essentially endless) are celebrated,” says Singleton. “On a broader scale, it’s about celebrating how far we’ve come and reflecting on how much work we still have to do.”

Why Visibility Matters—Especially in Beauty

That’s why collaborations like this one matter. “Visibility is vital,” Singleton explains. “Working with brands amplifies artists and their work and gets them out to a wider audience than they might normally have. Collaborating with IPSY has allowed my work to get in front of people who have reached out and told me how happy it makes them and how seen they feel. That sort of thing is beautiful.”

From fearless color choices to cheeky catchphrases (“read my lips, eye love you”), these designs are pure queer magic—and totally carryable, too. “I hope it makes people smile and feel happy,” says Singleton. “I absolutely love the idea of someone bringing a little piece of my work into their day to day. I hope it becomes a piece they simply have to have around them because they love it.”

To those who might be celebrating their first Pride—or those still finding their place—Singleton’s message is simple: “There is undeniable beauty that exists in each of us, and magic happens when you fully realize the vision of yourself.” This month and beyond, carry that reminder with you. In your heart. In your routine. And maybe even in your makeup bag.
