This Might Be the Best Husband-Does-My-Voice-Over Challenge Video Ever

When it comes to makeup tutorials that entertain and make you LOL, few things can beat a good old “husband does my voice-over” (or friend/girlfriend/dad/any person for that matter). Something magical happens when you take a beauty newb and ask them to name all the products in your arsenal—or, better yet, to describe your entire makeup routine. All of a sudden, a go-to favorite becomes an unsolvable Rubik’s cube that baffles an unsuspecting loved one—and what usually comes next is enough to make you shake your head and crack up at the same time. Case in point: this video by @glampacked. When this beauty lover asked her husband to do her voice-over, he rose to the challenge and even took it one step further. How, you ask? Well, by recording the whole thing in his version of a British accent. Yes, it’s as hilarious as it sounds.

The video starts with Bethany applying “a little bit of this cream” (that’s foundation for you, if you needed a translation), before moving onto arguably the most precarious part of any beauty routine: liquid eyeliner. In the wise words of this video’s voice-over star, “At first, it’s not gonna look good.” Dang, hit us with that honesty. “So take a deep breath,” her husband continues, “and collect yourself. Keep going! Keep the faith!” Now there’s an eyeliner mantra to live by, if we ever heard one. After applying a wash of blue eyeshadow, she then goes over her eyeliner once more to bring back some definition. And in that sentence that basically sums up what most of our partners are probably thinking as they watch our beauty routines unfold, her husband says: “Not sure exactly what is going on here...what this is doing.” No worries—we know.
