Red carpets and press tours aren’t what they used to be. Celebs used to be able to show up wearing whatever they wanted to their movie premieres. But now, things have changed. The key is to be on theme with whatever you’re promoting. And no one does that better than Margot Robbie. We saw that during the Barbie run of 2023. The actress and producer is appropriately credited with igniting the Barbiecore trend, having everyone wearing some form of Barbie pink. Her “Wuthering Heights” glam is no different, going full Victorian Gothic for premieres, press junkets, and more. Robbie and her team understand the assignment every single time. We can’t stop talking about her style, which is why we decided to round up our fave “Wuthering Heights” looks so far.
It's about glam time you treated yourself.

Makeup artist Pati Dubroff created this flushed look on Robbie that expertly pairs with her custom Schiaparelli gown and Taj Mahal Diamond Necklace, borrowed from none other than the Elizabeth Taylor. To give Robbie her rosy cheeks, Dubroff kept most of the makeup light in its coverage to ensure the blush pops. She then mixed the CHANEL N°1 de Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm in the shades Berry Boost and Red Camellia to create Robbie’s signature flush.
Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett kept the regal feel of this look in the sculpted low bun that draws attention to all the right places. Not that there’s a single wrong place to look on this, well, look. Everything comes together so seamlessly from the makeup to the gown to the hair.
Kicking off the press tour, these romantic waves have us envious of Robbie’s cool-girl blonde strands. Styled by Andrew Mukamal (the man responsible for Robbie’s Barbie style), the all-black Roberto Cavalli mini dress paired with heirloom-worthy gems and Christian Louboutin heels screams gothic romance. Don’t mind us wearing waist-length waves from here on out. We’ll be putting our MERMADE HAIR Mermade PRO Hair Waver to good use.
Even in this messy-girl moment, Robbie’s team of Dubroff, Scarlett, and Mukamal did a fantastic job at making it still look put-together. Dubroff keeps the makeup simple and understated, so as to not pull focus from all that’s going on. We do need Scarlett to drop the hair tutorial so we can recreate this style on our own hair. For now, we’ll be creating messy curls using the ARIA BEAUTY Rose Gold Collection 1" Curling Iron and tying various ringlets with ribbons of our choosing.
We can’t stop staring at this look. From the effortlessly unstyled curls pulled back into a low ponytail to the snakeskin mini dress to the soft, sculpted glam, it all comes together so flawlessly without one thing pulling too much focus…well, maybe other than that stunning diamond Robbie has hanging around her neck. With a few bobby pins and a soft-hold hairspray like the R+CO BACKBEND Workable Hold + Non-Aerosol Hairspray, you too can recreate this hairstyle. As for the makeup, focus on creating softness. You’re simply sculpting your natural features without producing harsh lines. Think blush draping, clean girl brows, and all-around soft girl makeup.
Most recently, Robbie wore custom Chanel Couture from artistic director Matthieu Blazy, showing everyone how to make the Victorian era modern. The natural, unbrushed blonde strands are almost refreshing yet also feel elegant in a disheveled way. What really captivates us is the pink pout. It almost has this bitten quality to it, like Robbie took a nibble of a forbidden fruit and it stained her lips. We can’t all do that, but we can rely on the BENEFIT COSMETICS Benetint Raspberry-Tinted Lip & Cheek Stain to give us a similar vibe. This blurred lip tutorial will walk you through the steps to follow to achieve a Robbie-esque pout.
As we gear up for the release of “Wuthering Heights,” we’re sure there are plenty more red carpet and press day looks to come from Robbie. While we patiently wait, don’t forget to try out these looks on yourself. Have some fun, visit the IPSY Shop, and enter your Victorian Gothic era.
