1. Fluffed Up Bangs

If Espresso reigns queens on your 2024 Spotify wrapped, you’re probably hooked on everything Sabrina does (just like us). So we’d totally be missing out if we didn’t call attention to these wispy, full volume bangs, and face-framing layers as one of the hairstyles that have and will continue to dominate our FYPs in the new year. Fighting with bangs that fall flat? Here’s some insight from our pro. “ I love this trend! To recreate the look, use a velcro roller and wrap your bangs towards your face. Let them sit for 10 minutes to achieve a rounded, fuller effect like Sabrina,” Mannino tells us. What we also adore about this cut is that it works well with all face shapes, can give life to fine hair or super straight hair and also looks stunning if you have thick hair.

2. The Textured Pixie Cut

While short hairstyles are always showstoppers, what’s huge for haircut trends in 2025 is a pixie that plays up your natural texture, whether it be curly hair, wavy hair, or straight hair. “Use a styling foam for a light weight hold (Ipsters with fine hair rave about the volume their hair gets from AVEDA Phomollient Styling Foam), apply it when wet and either let your hair natural hair air dry completely or diffuse your curls first before fluffing it and breaking up the cast,” says Mannino. First time trying out a short haircut? “Ask your hairstylist for a short round pixie where you can maintain some length to ensure your hair still has enough room to curl,” she adds.

3. Bouncy Curls

If you’re blessed with naturally springy curls, babe this is your year. We’re in an era where embracing your natural hair texture and playing up your hair type is everything. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance cut that accentuates your coils, “Ask your stylist for a round shaped cut with bangs that start shorter in the middle and cascade around the face. You want your curls to feel big and full,” Mannino advises. Once your stylist has perfected your look at the salon, you can focus on low maintenance styling at home. “Use a hair pick and stretch out your hair at the roots to achieve maximum expansion. To protect your style (and minimize frizz), sleep with your curls in a ponytail on top of your head at night to protect your style,” Mannino also recommends. We also love the versatility of this style. Throw your hair up in a piecey bun or add a cute headband for a French-inspired look.

4. Brigitte Bardot Bangs

70s beauty looks are a gift that keeps on giving (and for good reason). These IT girl curtain bangs work with almost every hairstyle under the sun (a shag, a ponytail, a glam updo, half-up-half-down hairstyles, long, face-framing layers, a deep side part, and more). They’re so chic and classic, it’s no surprise that they make a comeback every few years. Here are some quick tips from Mannino on how to style yours. “First take a blowdryer and round brush and split your hair down the middle. Gather one side of your hair and place the round brush on the top layer of your bang section. Twist the brush away from your face so that the hair starts to attach to the brush. Then, drag the brush to the opposite side of your face. Blow dry the hair into the brush, pushing the hair away from the face. Repeat on the opposite side.”

5. The Shaggy Bob

Bob haircuts aren’t for everyone, but this medium shoulder grazing cut pretty much is. It’s full of movement, dimension, shine and flaunts a super straight center part we can’t wait to try (another trend that's big for the upcoming year).” This is a great cut to try if you are transitioning out of a short bob and want to get rid of the “triangle” shape. The layers will give you much more volume at the root with overall movement. Beach waves also look great with this cut!,” adds Mannino.

6. Black Cherry Hair

Black cherry nails, black cherry lips, black cherry hair, black cherry everything. From fashion week runways to celebs we love (like Dua), this deep, moody shade is expected to be big in 2025 and no lie, it had our deep, moody, New York hearts at hello. Ask your colorist for an almost-black shade of red and be sure to bring pics along with you for inspiration.

7. Buttery Blonde Hair

While icy blonde shades were a big beauty trend this past year, 2025 is seeing a shift towards blonde shades mixed with warmer, golden undertones. What do we love most about this? Warmer shades of blonde work well with a larger variety of skin tones and add loads of extra shine and dimension. We’re obsessed with how healthy, glowy, and buttery Rose’s blonde strands look 24/7 (BRB, calling our colorist now).
