The woes of winter are beginning to melt away and a freshness hangs in the air—that’s right, spring is right around the corner. One of our fave times of year, we love the newness the season brings, giving us that extra pep in our step. Even more than that, we appreciate all the tantalizing new makeup trends to look forward to for springtime. And this year, there are plenty. With the theme of 2025 being go big or go home, spring makeup looks are all about embracing boldness in your own way.

From the runways of New York Fashion Week to the TikToks on our FYP, we’ve rounded up eight spring makeup looks everyone can pull off. Which one (or two) will you try this season? Scroll below to find the spring makeup trend that suits your vibe!

1. Cherry Tomato Makeup

Splash your cheeks with a pop of color this season; but not just any color—red, cherry tomato red. Tomato makeup has been trending on TikTok for a few years and it shows no signs of stopping. So it’s no wonder cherry tomato makeup is a quintessential spring makeup look this year. With stars like Sabrina Carpenter and Hailey Bieber inspiring us to make flushed cheeks a staple in our beauty routines, we’re ready to up the ante with a little red blush. After all, it was the go-to hue for Victoria's Secret Fashion Models back in the day to give them that natural flush. We love the FENTY BEAUTY Fenty Cheeks Suede Powder Blush in Daiquiri Dip because of its buildable formula and bold, pigmented shade. The key to a natural flush is to not use too much. We also dab the product with our fingers after going in with a brush to ensure it seamlessly blends into our complexion.

2. Siren Eyes

We are entering the sea witch era. Yes, siren eyes has been a trend for quite some time but we’re seeing updated takes on the look that are even more mystical and alluring. Pinterest has seen an uptick in searches for dark siren makeup with siren eyes leading the way. Start by creating a smoky eye and extended cat eye with the TYNT BEAUTY Haze Smokey Eye Pencil (this is a dream for beginners and pros alike). Rather than leaving it at a smoky eye with an exaggerated cat eye, add some glitter or shimmer. The key is to still keep it dark to stick with the dark siren theme. We never run out of colors in the PINKY ROSE COSMETICS Hypnotize I - 24K Glitter Palette, though we often travel with the DOSE OF COLORS Block Party Single Eyeshadow in Nightsky when we want to create this look on the go and can’t take our whole palette with us.

3. Monochromatic Makeup

Some say the ’90s are back, but as far as we’re concerned, they never really left. We’ve seen numerous trends cycle on through, some with more staying power than others. One that seems to be on the rise is monochromatic makeup. This makeup look can be achieved so long as you stick to one color palette for your eyes, lips, and cheeks, though we’ve seen more celebrity makeup artists creating the look with a nude color scheme. We’re obsessed with the looks makeup artist Nina Park did on Lily-Rose Depp during the Nosferatu premiere with the nude and soft pink monochromatic makeup styles. To get this look at home, opt for a multi-use product. For a bold monochromatic makeup look, we love the JUST XIMENA The 3-In-1 Stick, which can be used as blush, highlighter, and lipstick. The HAN SKINCARE Multistick provides more of a natural hue for your eyes, lips, and cheeks in a soft rose shade.

4. Boundless Blues

From icy blue hues to deep blue sea shades, blue eyeshadow is back and better than ever. We saw many iterations of the makeup look strut down the spring 2025 runways during New York Fashion Week and various celebs have dared to try out the style over the past few years. There’s no shade of blue off-limits this spring. Try one of the high-pigmented blues in the HIPDOT Cenote Pressed Eyeshadow Palette. Or, blend the siren eye trend with the blue eyeshadow trend with help from the ELEMAN BEAUTY Aqua Eye Shadow Palette, which features water-inspired shades.

5. Blonzer

The love child of blush and bronzer, blonzer gives that fresh-from-vacay-glow minus all the sun damage. And with everyone, ourselves included, reaching for multipurpose makeup products, blonzer is poised to be the next big thing in makeup. We’ve actually already been in on this trend for a minute and have been using the BAREMINERALS Complexion Rescue® Liquid Blonzer in Kiss of Mauve during spring. It leaves behind a sheer, lightweight rosy glow that lasts all day and screams springtime.

6. Rococo Revised

ccording to Pinterest, we’re due for a Rococo Revival in 2025. The opulence and grandeur of the Late Baroque period is back with a vengeance, but this time it’s not just for the elites—everyone can indulge in the ornateness of the spring makeup trend. Characterized by white complexions (or wearing foundation much lighter than your skin tone), intricate eyeliner designs, pastel blush with metallic accents, and prominent pops of blush, modern Rococo makeup does not shy away from the dramatics one bit. Think Chappell Roan’s signature makeup look. While she does opt for the white base, you can always forgo that in favor of a base that matches your complexion. However, ensure it leaves your skin looking dewy and radiant to fit the dream-like quality of the makeup trend. We recommend the CIATÉ LONDON Dewy Skin Tint because it works for all skin types and colors, and will leave you with a complexion that glows. For blush, go bold with the TYS BEAUTY Cheek Treat Liquid Blush in Splash. The mauve hue wows on any complexion and the formula is buildable so the pigment will pop. Remember, there’s no such thing as “blush blindness” when it comes to Rococo makeup. Stick to pastel hues for the eyes. We love the HUDA BEAUTY PASTEL Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes because there’s one for every eye color. Enhance the elaborateness of the look with the HALF MAGIC Face Gems

7. Playful With Purple

Purple is the new pink. The hue is becoming more and more popular as the years go on. We’ve especially seen purple blush on the rise (we can’t get enough of the KULFI BEAUTY Mehndi Moment Blush in Lucky Lotus) but that’s not the only place the shade has been trending. Purple eye makeup is also becoming a staple look for many so why not play with purple for spring? The VIOLET VOSS Sweet Violet Eyeshadow Palette has a variety of playful purple shades that work for all eye colors. We’re predicting mauve lips will be big too so hop on this trend before it’s everywhere. We love the LARITZY COSMETICS Velvet Liquid Lipstick in the shade Loyal.

8. Fresh Face

For those who find keeping up with makeup trends exhausting, we’ve got just the no-makeup makeup look for you. The theme of many SS25 NYFW shows was fresh faces with numerous designers and makeup artists sending the models down with not a single lick of makeup on their complexion. Skincare did the heavy lifting, so if that’s more your vibe then this is the spring makeup look to try. The GLOW RECIPE Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist is all you need to get the look. Watermelon, hyaluronic acid, and hibiscus AHAs refresh and hydrate to leave you with a radiant, dewy complexion that lasts all day long.
